Meet Dr. Aaron Havens
Aaron Havens, DMD, MS
Dr. Aaron Havens grew up and attended high school in Romeo, Michigan. He enjoys working with people, and in high school he became licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician. While in dental school, Aaron became the director of Project Bridge, which provided free dental care to homeless teenagers in metropolitan Boston.
Dr. Havens earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Michigan. He then moved to Boston to study dentistry, where he was awarded his dental degree (D.M.D.) from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. His awards there included graduating magna cum laude, and membership in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Returning to the University of Michigan, Dr. Havens completed his Orthodontic Specialist Program at the School of Dentistry. This three-year Orthodontic program included Clinical Training and completion of a Research Thesis for a MS degree. For his research in bone stem cell biology, he received the highest graduate research award (the Milo Hellman) given by the American Association of Orthodontists.
Apart from dentistry, Aaron is an avid golfer, having competed in numerous tournaments, starting with his high-school golf team. Aaron is married to, Liz, an emergency physician. He also loves road trips in Michigan and exploring new towns throughout the US, … as long as it does not interfere with football Saturdays in Ann Arbor.
